How to Use the Body Fat Calculator
This calculator uses the U.S. Navy method to estimate body fat percentage based on simple body measurements. Follow these steps for accurate results:
- Select Your Gender: Choose male or female as the formulas differ between genders.
- Enter Your Age: Input your current age in years (must be between 18-80).
- Measure Your Height: Stand straight against a wall and measure your height in centimeters.
- Weigh Yourself: Use a scale to measure your weight in kilograms.
- Neck Measurement: Measure around your neck just below the larynx (Adam's apple).
- Waist Measurement: For men, measure at the navel. For women, measure at the narrowest point.
- Hip Measurement (Women only): Measure around the widest part of your hips.
- Calculate: Click the "Calculate Body Fat" button to see your results.
Note: For the most accurate measurements, take them in the morning before eating or drinking, and ensure the tape measure is snug but not tight.
